draft 0134 – a saying that spoke to me.
I was scrolling on Instagram for a few minutes today. When I came across a post that had a saying on it. "A crooked tree lives its own life, but a straight tree is turned into wood”, by the post says Chinese saying.
So, the reason I have decided to talk about this, is because it made me realise that because a tree that is imperfect lives a longer life as it doesn’t get chopped down. Compared to, the tree that is straight is chopped down to be used as wood.
Point being, that we humans if we take the same logic to the saying and apply it to ourselves, we could make our lives a lot easier. If we embrace all of our imperfections, we will be able to live a longer life (by the will of God). Imperfections are actually perfections, they make us more grounded because if we were perfect, how would we be able to grow.
Let’s just be like the tree that is crooked. Not the one that is straight. Both lives of the tree are decided but we can accept are imperfections and try to increase our lives (by the will of God).
So, I’ll be back on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm.
See you then, drafters.
