draft 0128 – just apologise and let go.

draft 0128 – just apologise and let go.

So, yesterday evening I was watching a YouTube video about a Shaykh (Islamic scholar) called Shaykh Yahya Rhodus. The video was Allah (God) does not need your worship.

The part that really stood out to me was when they were talking about how the nafs (lower-self) can make the simplest thing to do the hardest. They gave an example of a relationship where somebody is being stubborn to make amends first, all that they have to do is just apologise, but they just can’t do it. It would fix the problem.

Then, saying who wants that in the heart? Just let it go. If you don’t let go, you won’t be able to attain those spiritual degrees. Unless, you can let go what somebody did wrong to you. They said it could take decades.

The beginning of the video started with that Allah (God) made service to God obligatory upon us. Which, he said it means he did not make anything obligatory to you, but entry into his garden (heaven).

They said that Allah (God) just wants you to do this, he wants to take you to paradise. You will be a person of paradise but you have to do is a few simple obligations. What makes it difficult is the nafs (lower-self).

The truth really is that Allah (God) does not need your worship, we need it. Allah (God) doesn’t get affected by our disobedience.

I just think that we humans really need to work on this, just let go. Forgive the person just apologise. Like, Allah (God) just wants us to do a few obligations to take us to paradise but our nafs (lower-self) makes it difficult. So, the example of the relationship and that you just need to apologise is so simple. But, we are just too stubborn to do it.

You should definitely listen to Shaykh Yahya Rhodus.

Anyway, let’s all try to let go.

So, I’ll be back on Wednesday afternoon at 1pm.

See you then, drafters.
