draft 0126 – thinking, starting at a blank page type of writing.
So, yesterday I was just staring at a blank page thinking about ideas to write about. I had some but they were for another time. It wasn’t like I couldn’t think of anything. It just didn’t feel right.
I feel like recently I want my writing to be better than it is. I don’t know why. I still need to remember that my writings basis is it’s not supposed to be perfect. It is supposed to be human.
I think writing should be something that you connect with and helps you. It shouldn’t be for people or money. Writing can take anywhere you want it to. You could be in a place you never thought you could be.
Even more interesting you could be in the 1900s and understanding the people of that time. You are literally time travelling through words. You are a time traveller.
You know what one of the best feelings about being a writer is? Is when you get in the flow of writing and the words just keep coming to the. You start to enter a zone, where nothing can distract you.
This is how I fell writing this draft.
This draft was supposed to be about something more concerning but that didn’t happen. That is what happens sometimes when you write, you intend one but then you end up writing about something else. And to me that is just exhilarating.
Writer, you need to calm down. Ok, fine I will calm down. Breathe in, 1, 2, 3, and out, 1, 2, 3. Breathe in, 1, 2, 3, and out, 1, 2, 3. That’s better.
So, I’ll be back on Friday evening at 10pm.
See you then, drafters.
