draft 0130 – something I realised yesterday.
So, as we (with Mom) were in the car driving home from John Lewis, you all know what John Lewis is (If you don’t, then where have you been, living under a rock, if you haven’t, then I’m concerned for you, especially if you have been living in the UK for most of your life).
We were driving on the motorway, and you know when one motorway joins another motorway. You have that issue of letting one car go first and then the other car. Then, some will be stubborn which will irritate you.
So, I heard my Mom saying, “sometimes it is better to just let them all go first”. Which we did.
Now, getting to my point (I know it took a while to get to the point). Sometimes in life, it is better to just let people go first in life. Instead of getting into a stupid mental battle with them. I know I am talking about driving here, but it can turn into a game with some drivers.
Ok, when you are waiting in a queue at a cafe, let’s say, and somebody jumps in front of the line before you and you are not happy about it. Instead of causing a scene in front of the whole cafe and getting stressed, having all that attention on you. You could just ignore it and just let them go first.
By the way, when I am saying go first in life. I mean instead of causing a nuisance for yourself and stress that you probably don’t need, just let the person go first. It’s better for you and for them.
It doesn’t mean you are wrong, it just means I won’t let this little thing bother me. I will just let it go.
Anyway, point being. Instead of letting somebody irritate you, you could just ignore it and move on. Let go and find peace in the firm trust of Allah (God).
So, I’ll be back on Sunday afternoon at 1pm.
See you then, drafters.
